“TOXIC POWER” 2000
INSTALLATION AT THE BURNABY ART GALLERY
Dimensions: 10’ X 10’ X 10”
Materials: Wood, lead, neon
The struggle for control and authority permeates every aspect of our private and public lives. By juxtaposing a red neon sign over lead, the word Power becomes meaningless; in itself it is nothing, its minimal format and materials question the “me first" mentality as a kind of toxicity that we defend with armies.
